Cellar Hole Finds

On April 21, 2012 I went metal detecting at a colonial cellar hole in search of old coins and relics. With my Whites MXT I hiked into the woods in search of the old foundations. The day started off strong, when the first signal I dug was a 1941 wheat cent, about 4 inches down in the middle of the old driveway. I focused mainly on the old cart paths several hundred feet behind the cellar hole. Eventually I got a solid quarter signal, an 83 on the VDI, at about 7 inches deep. I dug down to find a beautiful colonial flat button. I also dug a possible silver and gold Marines pin on top of a rock formation, along with another colonial flat button on the cart path. It was a nice day out at the old cellar hole, and with the colonial relics I found that day, I know there are more waiting to be found.

I don't know why, but I'm having trouble uploading pictures today, so if you want to see my finds check the video out, but I'll try to post the pictures later. It might work for me then.

Thanks!
