I've seen a couple of posts where some folks complained of that. I use an android and have had no issues from cell calls, emails, or texts interfering with my Deus.

I think the issue might come when the cellphone is searching for a signal from a cell tower. I do know that, with some machines, a cellphone can interfere with the detector's ability to ground balance.
Its possible that one can get interferance from a mobile especially if it in your pocket and close to the detector but its not unique with just the Deus,its advisable to have the phone switched off as this often sorts out all the major problems that folks find and yes it is sually when searching for signals.
Not a mobile phone buff but i dont usually carry my phone switched on and that was prior to me buying the Deus as it use to cause problems with my other makes of detectors,so its not unique just because the Deus is wireless,most detector tend to go crazy near mobile phone masts or intact any type of transmission mast.
Only thing is try switching the phone off,if you need to carry one i guess you could switch it back on again at regular time durations,anything that is connected to communications and mast will always cause possible EMI issues.
