Ccclassic 3 12" on a Dime

I have a Classic 3 that I modified and it gets 12" on a dime on an air test when the disc. is set to just below ring P setting. It's is much deeper than I ever could get the DFX to go on any setting due to stability reasons. how do other white's units Air test on a dime?

I clipped something inside the detector that's all I'm going to say but it really does get 12" on a dime in the air in the discrimination mode with the 9.5 coil. I am only an amateur in electronics, but man it pays to get your ham radio licence!

Sounds like it might have been the filters..........Hows your discrimination???

[size=medium]That can have a very pronounced affect on the low-end Disc. range setting.
