Caught a little action on a developing cut

Hunting down the beach wet sand line with a Infinium Pi. Good piece, maybe couple hundred yards I kid you not. Nothing not a beep, pull tab, I mean zip. And it's not that uncommon. Lots of sand. Looking ahead seen a cut being made, starting from a foot to a yard deep tapering down to a foot. Maybe 25yards long. Well leaped ahead to it and didn't take long. Lo-hi signal, bam quarter. Couple of dimes. Caught a hi-low signal, nickel. Couple yards another nickel. Now this is going while the surf is starting to build pretty fast. Had to time the scoops trying to beat the waves. Covered the cut back and forth couple three times. Hung in there about 40 minutes or so before getting slammed out. 3 Q's. 5 D's. 6N's 1P. Nickels all were in one area within six feet or so. Doesn't sound real great but on this beach, that's a lot of action. Buddy George hunting his BCID dug a toe ring and some change before he got slapped with a good wave.

Sounds like Daytona Dancer. Last time I was out I never dug a target because there were none and I was out there for about three hours. Anymore you almost have to stumble on a pocket that has coins and then work that area. There may be nothing 10 yards from there. Cuts have been pretty rare too. It is getting pretty frustrating out there, but I shall persist.

People will start laying out where I'm at in a couple of weeks. Bad news is I'll be back north.
Seen a guy the other day walking the beach. Came over and showed me his heavy goal necklace with medallion. Had a heavy gold bracelet too. I told him he shouldn't wear that on the beach. He just laughed. Told him I was going to follow him around all day.

Ha,ha,ha. I have told people that too, usually nice older ladies who are loaded up with rings, but aren't we just shooting ourselves in the foot? I decided I was and now tell them to make sure they use plenty of greasy sunscreen and go play in the waves. Spring break starts here in a week or so and hoping hunting improves. Not sure if it can get much worse.
