Catskill Mountains Relic Hunt.... Part 2:twodetecting:

This is the continuation of our relic hunt, and a few of our better finds. Here's a picture of a nice decorative colonial coat button found with John's Explorer SE.

At the side of the backyard I found this nice 1787 reale, and 1724 British half penny with my xterra 50, they were both great finds at this site.

Dale came up with this small childs thimble in the front yard by the steps with her yeller feller.

In the back yard near the big tree Nick came up with this nice one piece decorative ladies clothing button with his T2.

Near the old spring my friend John (cellarholerat) found these intact beautiful colonial cufflinks 8 inches down with his Exploser SE.

After 2 hours of hunting not much more was found except for pieces of brass and copper whatchamacallits, so we continued up the old road further.

Since daylight ran out on us this was the last cellar hole we hunted for the day. After about an hour of hunting we came up with 2 broken pewter spoons, some plain flat buttons, and a worn out old copper that was unreadable. (due to photo limits we couldn't show a picture of those finds.) Enjoy these pictures and happy hunting.:yikes:

That is a great days take for pounding the woods. Congrats and hope you get back there again.
