Catch-up Time...Finally Some Stuff To Post!

I've been on a gold streak for the past 3 hunts now, with 6 pieces...3 in the last hunt. Here are some pics from the last hunt. Stacey also bagged a NICE 14K men's comfot band with some nice weight to it. No picture of that yet...

A clad bonanza...31 quarters, 47 dimes, 14 nickels, and 55 pennies (not shown). The Thing is holding the only thing I didn't find on this hunt, on the 4th. The little diamond ring was found on the hunt previous.

Here we have a 14K band and a 22K pendant. The pendant will NOT be melted. The wife is wearing it on a nice gold chain I found her last summer and will keep it.

Congrats. on the Gold, looks like things are picking up in your area. Tell Stacey I knew she would do Fl. proud. and congrats. on her Gold. HH

Here is the stuff from the 5th, Stacey's on top, my 3 on the bottom. The 22K "BS" ring is hefty...doing the math, it comes out to $391 at today's prices. I told Karl when I found it "The BS better not stand for..."

...with the looks of the clad you looted.

I am goldless for the last two hunts. Ugh. Keep it all up. I like it when pirates do well.

The area has been pounded repeatedly. What happened was that there were a couple of cuts formed by some abnormally high tides and the older stuff was uncovered. If you're lucky enough to find a "clad patch" as I call it, then you may be able to "mine" coins for a block or more. The way our beach has been sanded in for a while now, there's lots of stuff THERE...it's just BURIED. When the tides move the beach around the right way, you start to see a lot of that old crusty green stuff. And usually some of that old shiny GOLD stuff is hiding in there with it if you get lucky! :)

I knew that, but in my haste, just forgot.

I spent MUCH time at Virginia Beach in the late 80's and in 1990, but I NEVER had the time to loot it. I wore the Army green too much back then and had no time for the fun stuff, it seemed.

You are in a very special place, with seemingly endless, reflenishable loot just below your feet.

Here, we have to be johnny-on-the-spot to get the goodies after a major holiday or you get left out. The san does shift from time to time but not to the degree you are talking about.

Congrats on the raid!
