Cashing in with the MXT

I don't post fines here much but I thought you might like to see what I have done with the MXT. I bought a used MXT 300 in Sept. and hated it at first but with about 25 hrs on the machine I bought a new out of the box MXT300 and have loved it ever since. I cashed in my clad coins Friday for a total of $170.05 with 2 Sac dollars included. I also have bought a new TDI which I used to find the Platinum Wedding band that took a week to find, by the way. She was so happy I found it that she offered me $50 which I declined and got a big hug from her which was just fine for this old man. Here is the clad and zinc on the towel drying.
Any way happy holidays to all and good hunting in the spring to ya.

That is a good amount of clad, enough to pay for a different coil or gas money for sure.

Fantastic amount of clad and what a good deed with finding her wedding ring. You deserve a big big hug and here's one from me too![attachment 146473 smiley_hug.gif]

Do you know what you're going to use your "found" money for? We would use ours for free vacations, etc. Sure is great to have a hobby that pays for itself.
Thanks for sharing and more happy hunting to you, Nancy

LOL Thanks Nancy I can use all the hugs I get. Yea that is a lot of digging. But I needed the time on the MXT. I been doing this for 40 yrs and this is the best detector I have ever used. I can't believe how much fun it is. :detecting: I can't wait to hit my claim this spring and summer. Thanks every one for all your help with the MXT. This is one smokin, fun machine. I been thinking of adding a Big Foot coil if I can locate one. I know the Big foot pin points off the front half with the MXT but does it detect with the full coil in search?

I love my BIGFOOT. You will love it too if you can locate one. The coil uses all 18" and you can pinpoint dead center of the coil like other coils. And believe me, it's right on target! If I have my BigFoot on, pinpoint, 99.9% of the time I hit the target with my probe. Yes, it's that good! I've hunted with it in private yards also. It gets down at least 5" and more. It's a killer coil for sweeping ball fields and also going around the pipes of playgrounds. I've found coins where others have passed up because they were too close to the poles. I can't say enough about the coil. HH and enjoy, Nancy

You've done great. Just curious about your comment on hating the used MXT but loving the new. Was there something wrong with the used? Good Hunting!

I should have said I hated the the MXT at first. After I used it for a while I liked it so much I bought another, new MXT. I purchased a used one to see if I would like it. It didn't have the rechargeable batteries or the 300mm coil I just wanted a new one so I could have the full warranty and all. So when I got the new one I sold the used one and bought a new TDI Pulse scan. I was a die hard Garret user for many years. I didn't mean to imply the used one was bad or out of date. I just didn't want to buy a new one and find out MXT was not for me and take a beating on a trade or sell it. After I got familiar with it, and with help from this forum I started to enjoy it more and more. I think the MXT is what detecting is all about, Fun.
