Cashed in the Clad for 2011

Cashed in the coins and got $320.00 so far this year. Hope second half of year will be just as good. HH EZ

Did you happen to have the breakdown by denomination? I like to figure PCV's (Per-Coin Value) of each find, and also like to get some percentages by denomination.

Thanks,

Monte

Good going! It's so cool to hold off on cashing in your clad coins. We use to do it and wait till the end of the year. Then go of "freebie" vacations, etc. What great times! Do you have any plans for your returns from this great hobby? HH, Nancy

Hi Nancy,

I am going to roll the money in with some other monies from last year and buy a CD to put away. It does not sound too exciting, but just a discipline for the returns on the detectors. I have found about 4 gold rings and about 10 silver rings so far this year and will wait for a high point in gold/silver prices (if there is such a thing!!!). I have pounded the tot parks and they are clean. I have been squirreling money away from my job to take the lady on another vacation this year. We already went to Siesta Key this year and I am spoiled by this beach... Want to go again. Marty

Hello Monte,

It is a pleasure and honor to talk with you, your advise is invaluable to us new comers to the hobby.
I did not break down the denominations, but I can tell you of the $320, $30 was in pennies and the rest was quarters, nickels and dimes. I did not include the 10 one dollar coins that I saved from the various trips. Interestingly enough, of all the coins found only had about 15 wheats, 1 silver quarter, and 1 merc dime, but then I have not begun to venture out into the realm of relic and deep silver hunting. Marty

Nothing wrong with putting into a CD. I can see why you want to go back to that beach. It looks and sounds divine. HH, Nancy
