Cashed in my 2006 Clad

Took a sack of all my 2006 clad (no pennies) to the bank today. I was suprised at the total of $754.55. Also suprising was that they only kicked out 1 quarter, 3 dimes and 1 nickel because they were too bent to run thru the machine. I had them split the money and add it my two boys savings accounts (i.e. college money). As soon as I clean all my pennies, I will take them in.

Hi txbluesman,

You had a nice haul for the year, nice to see you have a cooperative bank, the buggers won't take them here unless you clean them first.
What I usually do is swap them for clean money as I find them and use the dirty ones in parking meters.
It works for me.

I tumble all my clad coins for a couple of hours in aquarium gravel to take off all the dirt, etc.
