Cashed in all my clad today $410!

I cashed in my clad in a coin machine today. I think it’s about two years of hunting. I thought about getting a rock tumbler but I just ended up putting it in a 5 gal bucket with dish detergent and vinegar and stirring it around with a big spoon. I also tried using a cement vibrating wand but it wasn’t worth the effort. I picked out the crusty pennies. I found two wheat pennies and a merc dime. The security guard at Vons (where the coin machine was) was blown away with all the coins I came in with. I’m just glad I didn’t jam the machine like last time.

Anything you find is a bonus in my opinion and that's not a bad bonus right there, helps pay for metal detector.

Nice I use a tumblr thumbler works great with stainless steel shot I’m thinking of saving mine up to buy gold coins

It was maybe about 30 pounds of change. Buying gold coins is a nice idea. I think i’ll put it towards setting up solar power at our house.

Nice I spend mine as I go should save it to buy gold as I find a ton of clad have over 50lbs of pennies alone!

I keep all my copper pennies from 82 back, . Some of the 82s is copper. Send all the nasty ones back to the mint. They will send you a check, might take 6mos. but it is US coins.

Flintstone, what method do you use to ship to mint? Post Office box with weight limit?

Hi Tony, I just roll them in penny holders and put then in a box, I tell post office what they are and ship them cheep as I can. I take all good coins to the bank, that way I don't pay 10% to Coin Star. I used to get 400.00 to 500.00 a year. Now with a broken back I get about $300.00 a year. Ask at your bank about taken your coins, and how to ship back to mint. get all your money. flintstone

Coin star machines give you 100% towards Amazon credit. I just learned about the machines that buy back Brocken cell phones, I’ve got about ten iPhones.

Hi Zac, how much do they give you for the phones? do you know there is about 25.00 or 30.00 dollars in 24K gold in them. I keep all I find and can get, take out all the gold and sell it. Each phone google it and see how much gold is in it. Some have more than others, also PC boards. It is ease to do, just takes time to set and take them apart. You know what gold looks like, just cut off that looks like gold. After you get alot, google How to GET GOLD FROM PHONES, you can get all you need at Home Depo.

Thanks Flinstone! I’ knew there was gold in the phone but I didn’t know how much. I don’t think the EcoATM comes close to that.
