Fresh out of the box purchased 2 months ago and only used 2 times warranty card not even filled out yet. I could not pass up the opportunity. Grabbed it for $90 hit a park on the way home and already found $2 in clad :) now my sons have one to share!

Wow! Great to be able to self fund the sport off of finds huh?:beers: What do your boys think of the old mans hobby? They should be very proud of your skill and your success this year I would think. Man! I hope they are as good as the old man, twice as fast, and wipe out your area of anymore gold rings and big chains so you have to pick up pennys from now on! That'll teach ya! no wait, that's no good, then you move into my territory!

Really any of the coil sizes are great. The older 7" coil seems to be the most wanted but the newer 8" and the 5.75" to me are just as good, been swinging my 5.75" going on 2 years now and just love the simplicity of these machines and they are absolutely fantastic for finding the goodies.

I beginning to believe that the 5.75 inch coil is the best choice for the Compadre. That little coil works amazingly well at finding the good stuff.

Good deal , the compadre is the funnest of the tesoroes, I loved it for going thru trashy dirt piles. good thing you sold the gold looks like its going way down

@Tabman we might be close I scored my silver u max for $90 warranty card still not filled out but it did have a scuff on the coil

I prefer this 5.75inch coil I sold my 7 inch but kind of wish I would have kept it for variety. I use my silver if I need a bigger coil

Deliveryboy and Tabman, you both beat me on my Silver uMax, I paid $160 and it looked as if it had never been used, still had the factory Panasonic battery in it. The battery was fresh and I detected a long time on that battery. Even at that price I thought it was a good deal.
