http://tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/118748 READ THIS ABOUT HOW THE COMPANY CASH 4 GOLD OPERATES SELLER BEWARE.

per gram? With stones w/o ?? I have some to send in?

I think some people on here have use this company and have had no problems. If you have used this company please jump in here and tell us what you think. http://www.midwestrefineries.com/

I looked at midwest and did some math - now I stink at math so here goes

$911 an oz. = roughly $32 a gram - 10k is 50% gold so $32/2 = $16 - 10% = $14.40 a gram for 10k ???? Am I on target or did I miss something????

I've got 11g so I should get $158.00 ? ? ?

Now for the sticker do they report to the IRS ???. Yikes!!!!!!

Geeze snowbound is making me a nusiance!!!!!

Not so sure 10K = 50% gold? Pure gold is 24K, so I would think 12K would equal 50% gold? IIs 10K = 41.67% gold? Am I off on this one?

You are just about correct. 10k = 10 parts pure gold and 14 parts alloy for a total of 24k. 18k is 18 parts pure gold and 6 parts alloy for a total of 24k. That is why 18k gold is much softer than 10k gold. Hope this helps. Dave in Pennsylvania.

Midwest is a refinery while Cash-4-Gold is just another middle (person) who sells what they buy to the refinery. Other than selling to a speculator, Midwest is about as good as you can get.

The precious metal calculator from Dendritics is very handy based on up to the minute metal prices in any karat in any weight. Both highly recommended.
