Today found a pre 1940 case tracor watch fob (eagle on globe), 1927 english one penny, and 2 wheat one a 1919. No silver yet.Going back sson to this spot and use my
4x6 dd. Old house torn down with huge side yard.Lots of old trash.

Here is a Pic of the fob and en english 1927 penny. Thought I found a US large cent. The large cent looks better in person. it has a little tint to it but otherwise is in good shape.
Foind both about 3 inches with both a vdi about 83. If anybody knows how old the fob is I would really like to know. and its value

Nice finds, I really like fobs. Alright, your in a good place to find silver. Just don't be surprised, it's not always deep.
If I were you, I'd plant a sliver dime in my yard at six inches and adjust my detector until I could repeatedly get a recognizable hit on it.

I will bury a dime. I have a quarter buried at 6 inches but you are right I should bury a dime also. I had my 4x6 hitting the quarter strong. The area had not produced any coins newer than 1944. The oldest 1919. I was told somebody had been there before but they already missed some good stuff. Thanks for the advice. Hope to post my first silver coin soon. Also, thanks rob for answering all my questions.
