Carrying bag?

Just received my MXT today. Did not come with a bag. Some of the sites I want to hunt are a bit of a hike. Any suggestions for a good carry bag that can hold all the stuff: MD, digger, pinpointer, etc... I don't have a local dealer here, kind of hard to pick one sight unseen. Thanks! (kind off weird but I was thinking a golf travel bag would work great)

i use a softball equipment bag. picked it up at the local sports supply store. only drawback is i have to take the lower rod out of the detector. i can fit 2 detectors and coils and headphones in the bag. the bag comes with a carry handle and a shoulder strap.

Thanks Brick,

Thats a better idea. I defintiley have the bug to try this thing out. Now their saying 6 more inches of snow this weekend....ack!

A friend of mine uses a padded bow case(soft style). It zips open like a big butter bean. You can get a hard bow case, too.

It works good for him, and he has plenty of room in it for other stuff, also. :detecting:

I use a golf club travel bag. Lots of room and well padded with a pouch on the side and a good shoulder strap.

Brick,

Went with your idea, works great. Bought a Mizuno bag over the weekend, hiked a couple of mile with it no problem. Had to go that far just to find a few spots thawed enough to dig, Now just need to figure out what I am doing with the MXT. Got my first bottle cap...least I know its working.

It is what you learn not what you find that counts. A bottle cap is a learning experience. Good start.
