CARRYING A LOADED FIREARM IN A CAR IS DANGEROUS (PART-1)

Carrying a loaded gun in a car is a reason for firearms accidents that is not only illegal in most states (perhaps, all states?), but is the height of stupidity too! I am familiar with two of these accidents. The first occurred in 1963 in Texas.

My brother in law worked in out of the way places inspecting oil tanks and various other equipment for a large oil company. He liked to travel these back roads during a time of day, early morning and evening or occasionally at night, when the deer population would be out moving around, feeding. This would sometimes enable him to add to his family food stores a bit of venison.
