Carl Moreland of Whites Electronics now at First Texas

Guys just wanted to let you know that Carl Moreland the chief engineer at Whites electronics has joined First Texas as engineering manager. I dont know why Carl will be leaving Whites but it says on Linkedin that he started with First Texas this May.If Carl and Dave Johnson work together we should see some amazing things coming from them. Thanks

WOW :yikes:

Is not really awesome enough a word to describe this HUGE announcement.

This is amazing.Dave Johnson, and Carl Moreland along with all the other top engineers F.T. Now has.

All under one roof.............:clapping:

First Texas My hat goes off to you.

Mr. Moreland Welcome to Texas.....

It truly will be amazing what we are about to see in First Texas metal detector achievements.................

Developing world small scale mining efforts for gold are a HUGE part of First Texas' detector sales. As of right now, they are the only major manufacturer without any Pulse Induction detectors. I expect that changing that state of affairs will be one of Carl's tasks. New gold detector developments have been publicly announced as a FT goal and a PI machine would be a good addition. Also a PI water detector would be interesting. I just hope the featherweight ergonomic spirit of FT'S current detectors carries over to these new areas.

Now if they could get George Payne that would truly be extraordinary. Imagine what could be designed with the genius of George Payne alongside those others.

Huge news indeed, Elton. A big loss for Whites and a major gain for FT. Like Dave Johnson, Carl Moreland is a brilliant and user-friendly engineer who takes the time to share his knowledge with those of us who detect. Having both of these engineering "superstars" together bodes well for First Texas.

As to what Carl will be working on, the only thing I can say for sure is it won't be LRLs!

Any best guesses on how long before his impact is seen in a production model? 2 years?

WOW what an engineering team they have in place now. Seems like we can expect some exciting new machines eventually coming down the pipe.
