That is the post on the fisher F forum???

I guess that good electronic engineers that specialise in VLF and PI technology are hard to find.
To have the combined brainstorming power of the G.....h forum as a backup may help to solve thinking problems if you have backed yourself into a corner with your path of thought.
There are some pretty clever people around the world and PI technology has advanced to the point where discrimination becomes more and more effective and thus usable.
My guess is that we will soon see a PI detector with pretty accurate target ID and an LCD diplay of this.
The prototypes of these are definitely already out there and they seem to work well.

Just my 2 bits on the matter
greetings
skookum

If I may add one more thing:
Carl, with the help of George Overton, has written a book called > Inside the metal detector< - ISBN 978-0-9858342-0-3
I highly recommend it to those who are interested just HOW some of the technology inside your detector functions.

Engineers come and go. Hopefully White's will get some good new blood and will come out with some great new products.

New blood is good but so is old blood..... I am sure Whites has plenty of bright minds willing to step up and fill some shoes.

I agree, that book is a very good read....

Whites Dan Geyer passed away. I worked with Dan on the TDI Project. Carl is a great engineer . I'm sure he has something up his sleeve.
