Carbon fiber rod breakdown 😭😭😭

My coil was slowly gliding along the grass when I felt the upper part of my carbon fiber shaft give way. I looked down at my equinox and notice the Detect Ed carbon fiber snapped. I could see if I was banging the coil up against rocks, tree roots and the like but that’s something I never have done. If I did, I’d grab my own stupid sign However to have minimal load on the rod ( scanning slowly over the grass) I’m not a happy camper. Purchased on March 30, 2021 so it doesn’t have a whole lotta mileage on it. I am glad I kept my stock equinox rod.

That's a snap. Might try a different flavor, I have used Steve's for a long time with great results.
