Captured some images this morning...

We got a little bit of the Fluffy White Crap overnight. In fact, it's still coming down, but now it's actually some sizeable flakes, instead the powdery lake-effect. When I took me older two boys out to get on the bus, I noticed that most of the tree limbs had some snow on them, and would provide a nice contrast picture. I ran downstairs, grabbed my tripod and camera, and went back outside.

This first pic, obviously, was aimed straight down my sidewalk.

This second pic, I had aimed my camera up into the tree limbs to capture the contrast.

And lastly, I moved out into the street after checking that I didn't have any traffic coming from either direction. I quickly set up my shot, and captured this image.

All images were captured on my Kodak Easyshare C340, in Landscape mode, with the brightness compensation at 0.0. The only alteration I did on my computer was to reduce the image by 50%. I tried getting a few at +1.0, but those were to bright on my laptop. I should have captured a couple at either -0.5 or -1.0, just to see what that would be like.

I would appreciate some feedback from someone on a dialup connection about loading speed, and from folks with different size monitors.

Note: the picture(s) might not show up due to bandwidth limitations. If the picture(s) are not there, check back at a later time.

with 19" monitor running 1024 x 768 resolution. I DEFINITELY need to work on reducing the size more, probably down around 75%.

If you're posting to the internet a safe size is a maximum 800 pixels width or 600 pixels height (pick the largest of 800 or 600). This will be reasonable for most users systems.

Of course the downside it that those people with monitor resolutions over 1024 by 768 will find them a little small but you can't please evryone on the internet as there are so many computer configurations.
