Cape Cod

Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted in a long time but I hope to post some gold this summer.

The question that I need help with is that in two weeks I want to go to Cape Cod with my camper and hit some of the beaches. What part of Cape Cod is off limits and what beaches are O.K. for hunting?

I would really appreciate any feedback on this question.

Good luck to everyone and may your scoops show nothing but shiny yellow on the bottom.

HH,
Staten Island Mike

Stay off Federal park land, and you will be OK. Most all the non Federal Beach's are open to metal detecting.

Private property is a different matter.

you have some dealers down there that get out every other day - and a large handful of guys that live down there and detect - the Bay side might be your best bet - check a tide chart before you go - the Bay side goes out really far so so you'll have a ton of area to hit. I do good down there in the Summer - where you can get recent drops - out of season is tough - but you could get lucky!

lots of the locals are reale tight lipped about it, hard to find any info on which beaches to hunt for old stuff around there.

i got some of old maps and info on some hotspots, email me if you need some info

Good luck On your Trip and hope you find lots of goodies!!!!

I get up the Cape a few weeks a year to visit my mom. I grew up there, but unfortunatley, wasn't into metal detecting then. Let me know if you're going this year. I found a few nice rings up there last summer, Orleans area, but not bay side. Found some nice old silver on farms up there as well. Desmond Brooklyn, NY
