Can't understand why my Deleon gets a perfect coin display and tone on a crushed can.

You would think Tesoro would utilize the same feature in the Garrett 1350 that at least gives a reference between coin size and can size, on their higher end units.

you have to lift the coil and see if the target still sounds off or goes quiet. if your not digging the large targets on your 1350 screen then your missing stuff.

Hightone: Every Detector I have used over the last 20+ years, many different models from all of the major manufacturers, do exactly the same thing. All Aluminum objects, have the tendency to come in on all detectors as a good coin target, large iron objects will do the same on most Detectors, also iron and aluminum objects that are round in shape, pull tabs, bottle caps, and iron washers. Experienced Detector users, very familiar with their machines, can frequently tell, by slight differences in the way the tone presents, or raising the coil to size the object, if it is likely to be a good or bad target. The only sure way is to dig.

the tone was right on. No other partial signals on the Deleon display. I guess I didn't raise the coil to check it, but I did use AM to try and get a size. The autotune is so fast that it resets before I have a chance to scan the size using VCO. Tesoro could develop a way to size the target like a 1350 does.
