...so thought I would ramble a little. The pastor of my parents church called last week and told me he was a Shriner and would like to sponser Brian and see if they could help us. Mom called tonight and said that they would have flown Brian and one parent to Canada, all expenses paid including airfare, the surgery, everything!! That is where their cranial-facial hospital is located. They also will provide for his braces, including the occasional adjustments at no cost. The hospital is located in Lexington, KY and they will drive us up in a van. My sister is bringing the application to the hospital tomorrow morning. We are hesitant to go to Canada because of the distance but the Shriners have some of the best doctors in the world and I have heard nothing but praise from those that have been treated by them.

I have to get some sleep, tomorrow is going to be a long day.

IT WILL NOT COST YOU ONE PENNY. IF YOU LET THE SHRINERS HELP BRIAN THE BEST DOCTORS AVAILABLE WILL HELP HIM FOR NOTHING.ONE PARENT WILL HAVE A ROOM AJOINING HIS ROOM AT NO COST ALSO.YOU WILL NEVER HEAR A HINT FOR A DONATION OF ANY KIND. I HAVE HAD THE PLEASURE OF HELPING ONE CHILD GET IN THE BURN CLINIC AT GALVESTON TEXAS. TO THIS DAY I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE CHILD OR HIS PARENTS, BUT I DID GET A THANK YOU LETTER FROM HIS PARENTS AFTER HE WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE BURN CLINIC.

Lord, Doug has asked for our prayers and we want to remain faithful in our asking. We ask for Strength when it's needed, for good rest and sleep for the family, for a reconstruction, and renewing of body and soul. We know Lord that when we ask of you, that you are faithful in restoring us a bountiful measure. A measure complete and whole that your will may be done in our lives, and that you and the Father are glorified in our restoration.
So Lord in faith we ask now believing in you for Doug,and his family... Lord touch his family with faith and wholeness and restore what was taken, give of your comfort Lord, in Jesus name. Amen

get Brian into this program, he will receive the very best of treatment that one can get. The Shriner program has specialists in nearly every field. Take advantage of it if you can.

can be very expensive....do not hesitate to use Shriners for his care! Having a pastor who's a Shriner is also a blessing and he can help you a lot in knowing what goes on with them! You must trust in God and not try to do everything yourself! Let Him lead you with all these guidances the Lord is providing and leave all your burdens in His care! He won't let you down and give Him the praise and glory for all that He does for Brian and your family!

Sometimes fear and doubt creeps in, but just tell old satan he's a liar and that God is Whom you listen to and not him! Speak scriptures to make him flee from you and speak healing scriptures for Brian and you will see miracles happen!! For God will never forsake nor leave His own and you are His child, as a brother-in-Christ! Keep on, keepin' on, for He is working all things out for your and your family's good and for His purpose! :angel:

I enjoyed the pics of you and your wife and your bikes. Back in my younger days I had a Honda 550four. When the kids are grown I may buy another bike. When I get a chance to scan some pics I'll post a few of a couple of bike clubs that came to the National Institute of Health when we were there with Brian in 1999. It was in December and a couple of hundred bikers came roaring into the hospital wearing Christmas clothing and bearing gifts. This didn't include the truckload of gifts that had been delivered earlier by truck. Each sick child in the hospital got 5 gifts each, including the siblings who were staying there with their families. It was a sight I'll never forget. The president was dressed as Santa Claus and his bike was covered with Christmas lights. The children got to sit on his bike and get their pictures taken with him. It was awesome!!
 
...the berries grow on some bushes on the west side of the house. I have no idea what they are called but will let you know if I find out.
