Can't make up my mind

I have until tomorrow to dicide if I'm going to keep my new lens. In test I've done my 80-200 with extension tubes seems to be as sharp but then I took this and it makes me think again...What do you think?

Of course it is sharper in Raw but that's life. this was hand held.

What's your new lens? Which lens took this pic? What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish?

My new lens is a Tokina ATX Pro 2.8 Macro which took this picture. What I'm saying is that my Nikon 80-200 2.8 with extention tubes is about as sharp. Not sure if it justifies 400.00 differance as a close up lens. Think about this. You are spending $400. for some type of advantage you can barely see. The fewer lenses I have to carry around with me the better.

Take it back to the store. The Nikon lens is doing fine.
