A cache of silver I found years ago buried under the former site of an old shed. Second pic is a pewter bank dug up in an old abandoned park. Was about a foot down.

Sweet finds. I have yet to find a cache. Must be a thrill. Were you digging all signals? Or was it just a good deep tone?

I was hunting a freeway right of way where all homes and businesses had been demolished or removed and was hunting all the old sites for whatever I could find. This cache was buried in an old paint can and the coins were wrapped in oil cloth ( precursor to plastic ) and it was about a foot down.

I figured it had been buried back during the Great Depression when people didn't trust banks anymore ( banks created the depression for their own gain ) and it was forgotten or the person died and left no clue to it. That was quite a little nest egg during the Depression.

Don't remember as this was some years ago and I was using a meterless detector. But on today's machines it would probably have read in the junk range or read the max on imaging - but I would have dug it anyway. If you rely soley on your display to tell you what's in the ground you could be leaving one of these behind.

I'm still looking for that big cache....I've found handfull of coins but nothing like your finds.
