Cant access youtube after installing Exchange2 latest rev

I just installed the latest version of Exchange2 as noted in the sticky by Digger. Be careful, when you go to the page to download Exchange2, if you click on the box on the right hand side where it says "Download Exchange2, you will not get the latest version. You must click on the link at the "top left" of the page where it states Exchange2 (Minelab should correct this).

I had previously installed Exchange2 and shorty after installation I tried to access youtube and could not. I thought I must have some kind of a virus and after a lot of work trying to figure out what was wrong I decided to do an "uninstall" of Exchange2. After I completed the uninstall, everything worked again. After reading Diggers post on ensuring we have the latest version installed I went back to the site to try again ensuing I had the latest version. After ensuring I had the latest version and completed the download I immediately attempted to access youtube. Could not get there again.

I have zero intention to change my browser so I can use this program. The other software that Diggrer states appears to be up to date. I have zero problems downloading and running any other application I have installed on this computer. My computer is running windows 7 and is less than 7 months old.

The good news is I have not purchased the CTX yet (although I felt I was getting very close) so my only issue is I will not be able to see how this program looks and feels. Without the ability to do that, and feel comfortable that I will actually be able to install and use Exchange2 after my purchase, I will put my purchase decision on hold. I would not be interested in making this purchase if I can not use the software out of the box as intended.

If Digger or anyone else has any other ideas to gain compatibility with IE and Exchange2 please let me know.

Thanks, and HH.

Mike

I fixed mine by going to Control Panel and then Unistall or Change Programs. Click on Turn Windows Features On or Off on the left. After it populates the list find Internet Explorer 8 or 9 in the list and take the check off the check box. Reboot then repeat and put the check back in the check box.

After an upload of the new Java, 7.0 something then install it you have to be sure to restart your computer for changes to take effect!
