Canadian token 1830s

The ground is not frozen here - most winters it doesn't freeze for long. I went out to an old park this morning, temp was 35 F, but sunny and not much wind, so it was not bad. I found this old token which was made in the 1830s by Prince Edward Island, Canada. It's 26 mm in diam., not dated. The Canadians had the same problem as the US during this time, not enough coins in circulation, so these half penny tokens were made. The obverse is in worse shape, but it has a picture of a sailing ship. Total of 2 hours detecting, other finds were clad and two wheats.

:cheers:Nice old copper/bronze? coin ..
