hi all, just got my first xs, any suggestions on settings for canadian coins would be greatly appreciated.
Thks

Getting some of the coins new and old you are looking for and see what numbers they come in on the digital screen, how they sound and where they land on the site screen..I believe C.C. is from Canada and may add some help...

I can't really be much help as I don't look for modern coins but I can tell you the Explorer does not like new Canadian coins. Searching out the oldies you made a great choice buying the Minelab, but if you hunt the newer stuff you may not be real happy.
Wet sand may improve things a little.

I live in Canuckistan too. Actually in Manitoba. I have found the Explorer is very good for the new dimes, and quarters. They stick to the top right below where silver usually hits. the right half of the cursor is off the screan. Loonies hit the same except lower down, just higher than screw caps. Toonies are a little different and may bounce more. The very newest quarters may hit top left and may get missed if you are using any iron mask. I have'nt noticed much difference between CAN and US pennies they almost always hit top right with the whole cursor visable almost fitting square in the corner but can move a little to the left or a little higher with part of the cursor off the top. If you get a good signal with just the lower left part of the cursor visable or just the left part ,top right ,and reads 28 in digital you may have silver! hope that helps . I'm fairly new to this machine to but this is what I've found anyway.
