Canadian coins

Has anyone tested the V3 on newer Canadian coins. If so, how well does the V3 pick up these coins. I have an E-Trac, and it doesn't register these coins well. I have been toying with the idea of a V3 because of the reports I've read about how well it picks out gold, but I need to know how well it does on the Cdn coinage before I make a decision.

If its like the other Whites unit(detectors) that have been on market in the past they would be calibrated to US coinage.
I use the MXT and the XLT and I'd think the reading would be similar to the reading of these machine.
I'll eventually buy the V in the near future.
The Canadian coinage is not to dissimilar to the USA coinage as % of metal is slightly different in content.
I found that the numbers vary differently from day today and soil conditions.
The Whites that I use are very good coin and jewelry detectors (which I'm mostly doing) and the learning curves are easy.

I haven't "tested" it on Canadian coins, but dug my first (and only) Canadian dollar coin last week (3rd hunt with the V). It registered +94...loud and clear.

One thing about the V3 is you can adjust it to hit on anything by tuning discrimination in the settings so you can make a program oriented to YOUR coins. (Haven't had any problems finding Canadian coins with my DFX and the V3 is a good stretch beyond that in customization.) Please...send more of the Loonies and Toonies south. (Wish we'd "Get our heads out" and start making similar coins!)

Haven't finished my coin garden yet, but am putting a Canadian copper dollar in it just for the V3. probably down to 6" +/-. I found it last year in a very trashy area w/my MXT & 5" EX DD coil at 3 to 4 " down. It a token and a flattened penny came out in 1 scoop. HH all. KC Keep :detecting:
