:canadaflag:Quota: Ladies where are your brains?

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member
Home from work. Changed into "multi environmental digging suit ." Out the door ! Took the dynamic trio...Freedom 3 Plus, Seahunter MK11 and the Pro for a little dig/swish. Hit a few playing fields alternating swinging the Pro and the Freedom. Quota!

Had to cool off so I hit a few lakes with the last one being a dilly me son!

Started doing the beach at the last lake stop and here was a lady with three small ones. Imagine one was about 2, the second about 5 and the last being about 6. Well as I'm swinging in the sand towards her she gets up and scoots across the beach towards a path and lights up....funny odor from that cigarette! She is out of sight of her children and the life guards are off duty. Lord love a duck.....where is your brains lady?

I headed into the water keeping a "spare" eye on the youngest of her trio as I swing the Seahunter. On my third lap of the water she returned!

So I sort of relax and enjoy the swish with the water warm like a bath tub. I notice that a lady arrives at the beach with her two off springs in tow. She plops on the beach with the rugrats making a dash for the water. No problem. A few more laps and I'm in shoulder high water and I notice that the lady who recently arrived is feeding the ducks....she is facing to the left doing this while her children are to the far right of the beach in the water. Had enough. Could not enjoy the swishing as I was afraid I would have to become a rescue ranger. I exited the water, approached the lady whose rear end I'm sure would not fit in a three foot wide canoe and said , "It's folks like you that cause the beach to be full of duck sh$t and the lake full of swimmer's itch!"

She responded by saying "Well thannnnnnnnnnnnk you." I then added that she best keep an eye on her daughter who was getting in to deep water. I'm sure the kid could not swim as the "human dumpster" made a bee line for the lake! Lord love a duck.....where's your brains lady?

As I'm in the parking lot breaking down my gear the "smoke on the path" lady arrives putting her three kids in the car........no infant seats! Lord love a duck.....where's your brains lady?

So I'm heading home with Otto merrily purring sucking up the fresh tank fuel of PetroCan gas. This lady in a white BMW is talking on her cell phone weaving into this lane and the oblivious to the pair of drivers that she just cut off. Now I realize what BMW really stands for.....Beware Maniac Woman! Lord love a duck.....where's your brains lady?

Arrive home to my Hunny Bunny and think to myself a I'm doing the dishes and put in a wash.....how does this woman put up with this digaholic? Lord love a duck.....where's your brain lady?

Lma0!! Funny post!! And nice little bounty! But I got to ask...what's swimmer's itch? I'm sure I don't want any, just want to know what to look out for, lol.

When fresh water gets too high a bacteria count...the micro parisites burrow into your skin...causing a welt that gets itchy...forms a red mark...a scab on top then drops off about 3 days later...itchy but not contagious. Calimine lotion is the cure!

Good story and fun Leslie ... :clapping:
Here goes something like that. People feed feral cats that constantly die in road atropeyados. Dirty corners full of leftovers. Buckets and trash bags strewn sidewalks. Transmission of diseases and pests, such as fleas etc. I say to the lady: "Very well fed cats, but also take it to your vet or take care of the puppies?
regards

LOL Leslie! Great post. Unfortunately, natural selection will usually take care of those in the low end of the gene pool. Fortunately, if those kids survive to adulthood, they'll be pretty savvy because they had to look out for themselves since being weaned. Sorry you had your relaxing day interrupted by an air head.

"Lord Love a duck." After the day I had, I needed a good laugh. Thank you, thank you. Glad you got your quota, too. :beers: HH jim tn

Nice finds Leslie. I have seen a few male human species in the water with boats, and I have often asked the same question...."where are your brains" :punch:

Hmm, I'v e never heard of that. Thanks for the lesson! I hunt a very large body of fresh water and we get blue/green algae (?) occasionally. They say that it's bad on you, but I've never seen the effects of it.

Nice haul! :surprised: Brains are not needed for survival anymore, critical/logistical thinking is now considered a birth defect, abnormality, handicap....Idiocracy is upon us! A round of Brawndo for everyone!

Swimmer's itch is when you get it in fresh water.
Clam digger's itch is when you get it in salt water. Read the below article I wrote back in 1999.
One lake on Cape Cod is closed due to the green-algae. It closed the same lake last year also.
I and two others had the itch soooooo bad the doctor gave us prednisone and a topical ointment.
We now wear waders and gauntlet glove anytime we are in that area.

The Schistosoma cercariae are alive and active! Especially this time of
the year and in the spring. They are set floating and angered by metal
detectorists digging in their guarded water beds. Three of our club members
have become very seriously ill while detecting in Long Island Sound during
the past month. A fourth was exposed to the parasite

Yeah, we get it around here in inland lakes that have ducks and snails, especially like right now when the water warms up...if you wade in warm water, you will get it...seems the life cycle is of a little parasite that lives in snails, the ducks eat them, the larvae hatch in their gut, the duck poops them out, then they swim around looking for a nice soft snail to burrow into...Ah the great circle of Life! They think our soft skin is a snail...!

My daughter got it real bad one summer, poor kid was miserable...I have some now on my ankles and I knew better to wade in that warm skanky stagnant water at a popular inland swimming beach a few days back...luckily, I figured it was in here and didnt go any deeper than my knees, If a fellow went in bellybutton deep, a guy would be one miserable bloke scratching their pills rotten for a week or more! If a guy is prepared and thinks about it before hand, he can coat his legs with Vicks VapoRub....although I have never tried this, and only invented the concept a few years back, I cant imagine any little bug to want to dig through that!..so somebody give it a try and report back..

Never heard of clam diggers itch, must be similar only salt water?
Mud.

I too have those nasty parasites, that borrow into your skin, die them get a red raise area extremely itchy. I have used this cream. It lasts a long time on your arms and hands. Legs of you are not wearing a wet suite. Those nasty parasites just don't get through that cream. It's available over the counter in drug stores.

when water gets quite warm and the staggnation of the water sets in.....

lmao Mud. you try the vapor rub! i'll pass, especially if to be applied to the B-B shooters.
