It was deep within my soul. A longing. No a lust that could not be satisfied. The purge of greed ....the purge to be a true detectorist. Not of this world nor of fame but one that was true to the hobby!

What were the obstacles to this quest? Was it quota? Was it the lust to blend ones hands with the soil of Mother Earth or just a primeval call to be one with that what we have abused, polluted and degraded!
The high of the joy! The feeling of being.................................fulfilled! Quota not being had was of no concern The being of one with the machine, an old one that neither displayed it's displeasure not gave "vital signs." The joy was...being there! Being one with a machine defined and tested by time....a Freedom 3 Plus!

I know the feeling, Leslie. Hope I get to scratch my dirt digging itch this week myself.

I find just as much with the classic detector ! I had that one back in the 90's I believe. Gave it to a friend who still has it. Nice finds!
