Well it was raining hake and halibut here(cats and dogs for you non Nova Scotians) which did nothing to deter us from a hunt! Of course my Freedom 3 Plus took a hissy fit in the rain even though I had broke out a nice new Glad to keep her dry......has a temperamental side that pops up now and again. Out came the AT Pro......oh joy! Navy Davy was armed with his Teknetic . Hit one place but the northwester wind plus the driving rain along with the cold drove us to the Dollar Shop for gloves! All finger tips were frozen with the middle index finger standing in an "upright" (inside joke with ND) position.

Next spot and Navy Davy immediately set the pace with a nice honker of a silver ring!

Navy Davy and I both then hit mutli loonie and twoonie drops. ND was also busy using his Garret pin pointer to help this gimp find his targets! Too make matter worst didn't make quota swinging the Pro which by the end of the dig was as muddy as I. Of course ND was no slouch in that area wearing a fresh coat of mud.

Anyway getting back into his new car I put a garbage bag on the seat. Sort of reminded me of this gangster movie where a guy walks into his mob boss and looks down on the carpet which is covered with a plastic drop cloth...he did then drop as the boss shot him. So every time during the rest of the movie....wish I could recall it.....all the gangsters when summoned to the boss first looked at the floor! Don't think ND nor I would be immune if our "bosses" had been home once we hit our respective abodes.

Of course the event of the day was driving home when this lady driver tried to mate her car with ND's....man we almost got hit by her trying to take both lanes....twice!

Anyway here is ND's horde!

My under quota achievement added to a fund yet decided.

A good day was had by all, as they say.

I like "it was raining hake and halibut here" as I had not heard that one before.

A friend says "It's raining chair legs". I think that one is from Greece.

Congrats to two brave souls :twodetecting: in the rain and digging in mud! Don't think the wives would appreciate your new boots and coats made of fresh, wet mud! Nice silver ring and coins found, so not too bad of a day after all, especially without having a wreck from a dumb, lady driver and thankfully we women aren't all like that! Ma
