:canadaflag:Mastered the Pain, AT Pro and cornered the Bandit

From the land of the Bluenose.....mastered the pain as I said no to drugs (and later in the evening yes to Guinness) and sucked it up. Didn't feel like company and headed to a local school by myself to try and learn the AT Pro. Started the day digging 4 to 1. That is 4 junk targets to one coin and by the end of the day was down to about 2 to 1.

Towards the end of the dig my batteries were down to two blocks so I decided to change them...disaster! The battery holder was cracked and this was only the first time I had changed them. Hope they hold till a replacement arrives.

Anyway the arm finally became too sore to dig even though I swung with my left all day but the right shoulder and arm were still reminding me what a wimp I was. Guess the "Big Guy" decided right when he let women bare children cause men can't stand a little pain!

Almost one with the AT Pro and ran her in Pro/Zero mode for the day. On the way back to Otto went to throw my batteries in the garbage and saw this little bandit!

A tad on the nasty side as he growled and hissed at me......Lord knows what you would call that noise and this bouy was not about to stick his arm down to help him out. That poor bandit really gives new meaning to the phrase "Down in the dumps!" Called 911 once home and they didn't seem interested till I mentioned the word rabies!

Anyway today was special in that this was my first quota with "Digala." Don't look at me Marie named it youz.

Take for the two hours was 76 coins @ $3.41. The buckle and button were from my last outing with Slickpick Rick.

Replacement battery holders should be easily found at any electronics store for a small price. That one will work unless that chunk breaks off. Buy extras cuz that type of battery holder breaks..Garrett or not!! And how in the name of all that's good did it get that dirty and scratched up?? Looks like it came out of that dumpster and was being used as a play toy for the racoon instead of being out of the AT for the first time!!
Glad to see your coin total coming up, positive sign!!

Don't worry about the battery pacs. Been using them for years and it just happens. When you get the new pacs notice when you load them you will notice the pressure on the ends. I have found that when loading pacs like this that you apply a little pressure to the ends while loading and it helps. Don't really know if it is due to the temp of the pac when loading that causes this but the pressure on the ends are obvious while loading. Hope this helps.

If you do not already have an armrest extension, I think one would help your arms out a lot. I put one on mine and it makes all the difference for me. Pretty decent finds for a couple hours.

Man, that battery pack looks awful dirty for the first time being changed.

You know full well the detector was new when we took it out of the box for the first time, don't you remember cutting that big heavy gage wire tie that holds the coil in the box.

This is the second public forum you suggested I sold you a "used" detector.

I'd like to point out to the readers, that I know he wasn't real happy with AT Pro after a couple of hunts, and offered him his money back. Now he breaks the battery holder, (note those are not original batteries in the pic) I sent him a replacement batt. box free, and ASAP. This is the thanks I get.

The detector was NOT used, was NOT ever taken out of the box. Again maybe you don't remember taking it out of the box.

If anything is amiss here, as has been pointed out on a few forums, that battery box does look pretty scuffed up, maybe it is from one of your other detectors.
