:canadaflag:First time out with the Pro since latest repairs

My main machine the Freedom 3 Plus does not like wet weather so I decided to take out the Pro which has been back to Garrett 4 times. Hit a park and she was dead bang on with the modern clad. Then it was off to the "Button Hole."

This is a lake that was drained to fix the dam. Navy Davy and I have pounded this place and taken over 1200 buttons from her dating back as far as General Wolf.

Ran the Pro wide open on pro mode and wasn't disappointed save for I had to go so deep for the targets. My knee let me know this would be a short outing! Must say that as much as I rag the pro it does get super depth. Picked up one button and this old fork with the lettering "1847ROGEP6BH05 YS Triple" on the bakc. Obviously a plated one which was found in an area where the buttons had been dumped.

All in all pleased with the performance of the pro today.

Give your knees a rest on those rocks. It looks like a ATV backhoe would be more the digging machine you need.
With 1200 buttons, I would think this might have been a button company's manufacturing site. Any history on the site?
Love the old unusual items we find as metal detectorists. Keep on swinging, but don't hit the ATPro against those rocks.

This is a man made lake and before that in the 1880's a paper factory was located there..when dismantled they pushed eveything under the ground.........bonanza of a spot....especially buttons!

Nice post Leslie. That spot is very interesting. Too bad about the ATP going back four times. The accumulated shipping costs would have likely bought you a brand new ACE 250 back up. Now that I have had this machine for a couple of years I see that the only issue that I've had was a broken headphone connecting prong issue. The replacement service from the Ontario distributor was a nightmare\garbage, but the machine itself is and has been great to me.
