My detail at the cruise pier is up in another week so I took the opportunity to snap a photo of the piper and drummer who welcome each cruise ship in and as they depart. Think between Navy Davy and I we have every button the band had on. Nice pair of bouys who can really belt out some great music.

Mind you it does bring a tinge of sadness each time a ship leaves as I get to interact with a lot of the passengers. Shown here is the Emerald Princess as she gracefully slides out of Halifax Harbour en route to Sydney, Cape Breton.

After a grocery run with Hunny Bunny had a few hours to kill on my first day off so to a local field I did go. This particular ball field is an "off leash " dog park once ball season is over. Felt like a dodger digging there...no not the team that didn't make the World Serious but a dodger of the doggie dew. Lord love a duck there was a lot of it piled here and there. Some fresh....some not so fresh. Some small....and some not so small!

Anyway between the two ball fields quota was dug in shortly over two hours. I was a tad upset me son as I lost me screw!

This is about the 4th one I have lost over the last 20 some odd years . Luckily I have a half dozen Freedom Series machines that I can cannibalize for the screw that goes through the shaft to keep the electronic housing...or gut as us none technical folks call it, in place.

Naturally a few dog tags were found but all in all a pleasant quota with the Freedom 3 Plus.

Tonight it's popcorn and the movie "The Goonies" with Hunny Bunny........shaved just in case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
