I like the metal button and jack knife. I got a silver dime the other day, but not much else. Can't seem to find my rear with both hands lately.

Hang in there, upnorth. It will get better and you found a silver dime, that's good and you got to do some detecting, that's great. I've been getting frustrated myself lately, but lucked up with some research yesterday and now my creative juices are flowing again and I'm looking forward to my next trip to some sites I want to check out. I put my 5 X 8 coil on the At/Pro and new batteries and the people I bought my under armour gloves from exchanged them for me with no charge for a defect and I'm ready for cold water detecting. It doesn't get near as cold in my area as it does yours, but having the right gear in working condition and being set on go for any chance to detect sure makes me happy.
