Wow! Saturday was going to be a long and busy one. Took Marie out for a very early breakfast as her day was going to be spent in the kitchen preparing for the annual LeRue's Family Picnic. Being a man of limited domestic experience it was my karma that I best disappear for the morning least I become a galley slave...sort of like a bull in a china in the kitchen.

Blistering hot day so the versatile Pro was securely spirited in Otto's trunk. Freedom from the kitchen meant I'll have to pay for it in one form or another at a later date. All us digaholics have been in that situation. Started on land at a local park...got too hot....cooled off in the water....scoffed a tiny silver ring. Hit the land again....quota getting close. Too hot so back in the water and was served up a few more coins along with a junker ring. Done!!!!

Home for a few moments then it was off to the gala event. The picnic coincided with Jim and Leona's 50th anniversary. Tiny bubbles were blown as the "newly Weds" danced to "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers.

The dreaded washer toss tournament began. I was paired with Marie and we promptly got crushed, beaten and humiliated in the first round!

Kids were really enjoying the "Fast and Furious" tractor rides!

After a massive chow down where everyone over indulged, the night show began. For the next half hour it was the fireworks extravaganza. Brent is getting quite adapt at being a pyromaniac. He has it down pat when it comes to coordinating the aerial light show with a sound tack ending in a crescendo at just the right moment! A true master of his art.

Off course for Avery Doddle, a future digaholic, the night was just too much!
