From the land of the Bluenose.....well 9 12 hour shifts in a row completed with the last of course being the busiest as a push back tug played kissy face with an RJ which damaged the nose assembly housing the navigation and the front wheel of the jet. Man that poor bouy will be out Tim's and lunch money for a kazillion years. Of course I got the call and spent the day writing reports and taking statements. Had a severe bout of writers cramp in the left arm so when I got off I thought getting a cramp in the right arm was in order so a swinging this bouy did go.
Had only an hour before the sun went down so I drove Otto to a local school and wouldn't you know it. Just can't seem to get away from aircraft as a pair of choppers were going through some flight tests!http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b8dd33b3127cceb6be2069908700000026108AcM2bhk4ZN2
Thought this little puppy was a cool one especially after performing a few loop de loops!
Here is the guts of the remote controlled chopper.
While these choppers performed their sky ballet I continued on a digging while being engulfed in a blue haze..not to be confused with purple haze or the haze from a good Bud. Man those toys give off a lot of fumes so I moved to the other end of the field which was upwind and took a few deep breaths of fresh air. Of course I added to the pollution having had beans for supper and no way was I going to use this frozen paper find!
After three refills (only 9 minutes of air time per fill up) the "pilots" left me to a peaceful bliss and I dug to my heart's content as the frost that started in my toes creep higher. At one point while freezing I now know how Superman must feel! Of course I was tired out by then and felt like me butt was dragging in an oyster bed.
Dawn was.....dawning so I headed to Otto and cranked his heater up to max and turned on Bobby Marley and thought of next months vacation as I unthawed.
Take for the day was 29 coins @ $2.04, three buckles and a Brit penny
.
Was so darn cold yesterday that even Woody Diggit put on a jacket before he walked his pet dragons Thanks John in Edmonton for the coat and I'm sure Bud and his buddies will try it on payday!
