Suffering! It is that time of year when a "digaholic" does just that. Withdrawal is a bitch. Philately helps....a bit. Start at "A" for Aden. Up to 'G" for Ghana already. May run out of the alphabet way too soon before the spring thaw.

Decided that this morning was a good one to clean up some of the silver(mind you the domestic clean up came first) that my Garrett family (Freedom 3 plus, AT Pro and Seahunter mk11) had found. Mind you all did not come clean.

Used the old glass pie plate lined with tin foil and baking soda trick. The ones that remained dark there is no hope for as they came from the ocean or shoreline.

Got to ask me son....................HOW ARE YOU COPING?

Nice pile of silver. Some very nice looking rings in the batch. Very good! Hope your spring comes early. HH jim tn

Really love that sailboat medallion! Was it carved by somebody out of a coin? Thats a really interesting and most excellent haul...lots of rings and old American coins and what not in the mix even...

Whats 'Philately'? Some sort of Canadian indoor drinking game I hope? If its some sort of lame pastime like finger crocheting a toboggan out of hand plucked and spun alpaca wool, or stamp collecting, or even a Trivial Pursuit marathon..then buddy you do have a problem! Sorry for my meanness, I am quite versed in Philately and wasting Winter time indoors in general through no fault or intent on my part...! I need to move South....This is just awful for us digaholics! [attachment 306161 beforeandafter.jpg] Tell me, how does a guy wear 5" off the end of a snow shovel? The blue one is only a few years old, and the gray one yet to be employed I got for Christmas! I thought the irony of a side by side shot was incredible and one you could appreciate!
Mud

Well done, Mr. leslie! Now it looks very nice all that money. You have tried to clean with household ammonia the black silver coming from the sea?
thanks for sharing.
regards

Nice pile of shiny and semi shiny stuff! I like the medallions. I'm hoping for an outing next week....weather permitting.
And Mud, you must do lots of shoveling, lol. I don't think my back would last 10 minutes of doing that, right now.
