From the land of the Bluenose.....waited till quarter after the hour for the newbie who didn't show up so I headed out solo down the 101 and picked up Slickpick Rick. Hit a few spots popping a fair amount of coinage along the way. My old Freedom 3 Plus was injured as the trigger for the pinpointing had died which really didn't present too much of a challenge but did cause me to dig more than normal amount of junk targets.

Navy Davy was missed as he was on a family visit. Good day out with Slickpick Rick digging 143 coins @ $6.21 with a nice WW11 Air force button and a silver ring. (Slickpick I couldn't get that email photo to download maybe you can add it as it's a good photo).

On a sad note found out that not only did the Dominican airport steal Marie's rings but when I went to put away my finds from the trip.....all the rings I had found were gone!

Here is the photo of one of the ones Marie had stolen....was a good find!

Still "P.Oed" big time! You can rest assured this does not happen at the airport I work at...........I would be the first to know if it did!

I guess theres no way you can get compensated for them right??

That airport doesn't have insurance to cover stolen goods? Did you file a claim. But then one must remember what part of the world they are in. :)

No matter where someone lives, no matter how poor they are, it's wrong to steal. It's a betrayal of trust in one another and I despise a thief. At least if someone asks you for something, you have the right to decide if you want to help them out or not. But, for a person working at an airport and representing their country to tourists and the world to steal from a person who has spent his and his wife's hard earned money in their country and by their choosing to visit their country and providing these people a job and an income from their tourist dollars, is a stab in the back. It's also a black eye to all the honest people who work so hard to make tourists feel welcome and help them to enjoy their trip and hopefully encourage their friends and families to visit there. It's sad that one person or group of people conspired to ruin what should have been a memorable trip. Shame on them.

Theft at airports around the world is big business. You can't trust anyone anywhere anymore. I've had stuff stolen out of my mail by postal employees. The cruds will slice the package open and steal what's inside then deliver the empty package. Can't get any lower than that.
