:canadaflag:Bluenoser Diggers Christmas Carol

Leslie(nova scotia)

Well-known member

T'was a few weeks til Christmas and all through the house
The only thing moving was an old digging louse.
Doing his housework in green PJ Grinch apparel
While singing off key an old Christmas carol.

With only a few hours of sunlight to dig up some cash
The Bluenoser picked up his detectors and made a mad dash.

For in the brightest day, the darkest night no evil will escape his sight
Let those who worship Minelabs evil might
Beware of the power of Garretts green lanterns light.

Now Dancer and Prancer and Comet and Rudolph were no place to be found
Only Nogo was still parked, just hanging around.
The Bluenoser looked at how much gas was in the car
And knew in a moment he would not get far.
For driving Nogo with not much gas in his tank
Was far better then sharing a broom with a crank.

The Bluenoser just wondered where a digging he could do
When a voice called out "May the force be with you."

The digging started in earnest with his beloved Garrett in hand
Moving down the playing field towards where the lone tree did it stand.
With the wave of his coil he did bend to the soil
Coming up with no more than a piece of tin foil.

With a wave of her wand the targets did come
Soon adding up to quota, a very princely sum.

Heading home he was thinking of steak, hamburger or even some lamb
All the Bluenoser got was "I don't give a dam."

With those words his heart sank lower, to his right shoe.
The Bluenoser still said nicely, "Merry Christmas I"ll always love you."
