From the land of the Bluenose.....to some of us it is just a fleeting thought, while others rarely think of it. Some take it gracefully while others, fight their darnest to ebb the tide while this bouy stands in the middle of the road and takes on the Mack truck and loses. Vim and vigor those two twins that we seem to have less of as we get to the "golden years." Can't understand that phrase unless they mean you have to have a gold Master Card to pay for your medications and can only afford to eat at the golden arch! It's a time when the mind says yes and the body says no. Today was one of those days as I came off night shift and managed 3 hours of totally interrupted sleep with kids screaming, vacs a vacing and telemarketers a telemarketing not to mention Marie's "beautifaction" lady calling to remind me of her hair appointment. Felt like saying to her "You want to perm my three head hairs and curl and tint or highlight that which slid off my head onto my back." Held my tongue and got up and hit a wooded area on the basin hoping for a peaceful walk in the woods and maybe, just maybe find a nice shiny coin. Was disappointed on the coin side but did have a close encounter with two deer and a view of this magnificent swan.

This spot filled the old fishing net as it was easy to do with limited junk and I was enjoying the bantering bluejays, the crying crows and the beat of the Woodpecker Concerto no# 19 on a pine tree.

This wonderful concert was being conducted by this bouy who at first glance.....scared the cod liver oil right out of me and down me rubbers.

Not being a "bugologist" it took me a minute to see that it was just plastic.....same stuff that Joan River's face is made of including the spider veins! Anyway Otto now has his his own pet as the thing can be stuck on with the suction cup located on the under belly.
Felt like calling a 5 ton crane in to get me up off my knees every time I stooped to dig a target. Hour later I had my 50 coin quota and was running on fumes like Otto so I headed back to my trusty steed. Recall the walk in to the park took 20 minutes as the gate was closed and near 35 minutes to walk out. Looked at a few fields on the way out that were just begging to be detected but not on this day

Arrived home in time to do the dishes, cook supper, make the bed and tape "General Hospital" before Marie arrived home. Lord love a duck she did the "Perminator" big time! Looks like a cross between Shirley temple and Anne Margret! Got to love the hair and especially the dozen "Buds" she picked up along the way to keep me company!
Anyway take for the day was 2 kid's rings, Spider the Conductor, and 64 coins @$2.35
