Can you use rechargable batteries in the Excalibur?

They come with a rechargeable pack when you buy a new one. 8 rechargeable will not work in the alkaline pack though as it needs 10 of them like what is in the rechargeable pack that comes with the Excallibur. Like the Sovereign it needs the 12 volts to work, The Explorer only needs 9.6 volts and why rechargeable will work in their alkaline pack and accualy what is in their rechargeable packs.

The factory pack has 10 of the AAA in them which will fit, but if you try to put them in the alkaline pack you will have to rebuild it as it is set up for only 8 AA batteries, so you would have to rebuild it to hold 10 of them.
Several have tried to make a pack that will hold 10 AA Nickle hydrides, but they had to build it with 2 batteries outside the alkaline pack. It is easier and possibly cheaper to just buy a extra factory rechargeable pack.
