Hi guys i was just wondering why everyone posts their junk finds, till now i have always posted my good finds, should i keep the junk and post it as well??

:unsure: Raoul

Because we just don't find good stuff at least its why I post it.... I wish I had some trash to post recently but I had been under the weather for a month :)

I post my junk as well as my other great finds and a lot of the time that is all there is Junk.I do this to let others know that you do not always find gold and silver and that you have to dig the junk in order to find the good stuff.

It also helps other treasure hunters to stay on the right track when they are on the hunt. I watch for what the other TH'ers post by way of loot and junk so that when I am hunting I can compare what I am finding relative to what they found.
Some say that if you find lead sinkers you'll find gold, others follow coin lines and still others swear by a ratio between gold rings and pull tabs. The evidence to support these theories is in the whole nut when it is posted.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:

Raoul I've been thrown off both boards for telling people they were showing junk. Had to change my name and email to get back on. It seems that some people's trash is other people's treasure. I haven't shown any of my finds either; I clean them shortly after finding.

I agree, although I normally don't post pictures of the junk I find, as a new guy I always wondered if all the guys on this forum only found good stuff.
Thank goodness for those who posted all their junk as well. It really gave me a good idea of the junk to gold ratio.

Mark

Raoul;
I went today and dug nothing but pulltabs,10 ccoins and part of a bead-necklace with a cross. Nothing to write home about. I don't always post everything I find but as the other guys say. Posting the junk too tells everyone that ya don't hit the Mother-lode each and every trip out.
