Can you tell me about the White's PULSE DIVER 950?

Waiting to hear back from a guy who has a Pulse Diver 950 for $375. Didn't know if that is a good price, if it is a good machine, has fatal flaws like leaking, bad headphones, etc. and was hoping that someone has experience with one, or, knows of the machine.

Sorry, I know it's new to you, but this is a pet peave of mine. It's NOT called a "pulse diver 950". No such animal exists. It is most likely a White's Surfmaster PI, maybe a Surfmaster PI Pro. The search coil says "pulse diver 950" because that is the model of the coil, not the detector.

If the detector is in good working order, and has the adjustable pulse delay knob, I think it sounds like a good deal. If you buy if, call White's and order a replacement O-ring for the housing lid. They only cost a few bucks but are the most important thing to keep your detector dry inside.

I kind of figured that it was the PI. The seller listed it PULSE DIVER 950 in his ad. I tried to look it up, and oddly found a reference to it that way. I was going to ask him if he calls me back with shipping cost, etc.

I have been using White's PI machines for many years.Had four, the Surf PI x 2, Surf PI Pro and the Dual Field. Sold
my first Surf Pi to Strobeone, the PI pro to a local and still have one Surf PI and the Dual Field. I have read many times
about leaks, never had one. I want to tell you that a Whites Surf Pi in good condition is worth the money. And 950 is
the coil size, nine and a half inches. I have my two and a Tesoro Sand Shark, purchased to get the seven inch coil
for working in nails and I will not give up any of the three.

I appreciate your candid comments and suggestions. He hasn't returned my call. Perhaps he has sold it to a local, or, he is just slow... I will call him again.


My old rainbow Whites Spectrum has a 950 coil on it. Guess it is different than the one on the PI.
