I went to a part of town that used to be where their annual carnival/fair was held. After about twenty minutes of steady pull-tab and tinfoil excavation my Ace went off like a car alarm. It actually startled me. And six plus inches down.. I thought I was dreaming. Talk about a once in a lifetime moment..wow! I think it's time to start bringing the camera along to document such moments. What amazes me is how clean it was. I could hardly sleep last night and could'nt wait to get up and photograph it in the morning sunshine..

Way to GO!!! very nice find indeed!!

Thanks. Hey Joel...we're not too far apart on the map. I'm down in Cook, MN. About 60 miles south of the canadian border.

LINDABONITA is right, luck had nothing to do with it. You put yourself in a position to succeed and you did. :clapping: Outstanding find! Now go back and get everything else out of that place that it has to offer.

:clapping: Congrats buddy. That is one of the nicest finds I've seen so far this year, or any time for that matter. Just wonderful! I've had my ACE over a few shallow silver quarters that literally rattled or made the plastic housing chatter. That big honker must have sent it atomic.

Fantastic find bud. Bet your old heart was thumping when you pulled that puppy up. Congrats. That's going to be awful hard to top in the future.

Well honestly I did'nt know what it was at first, as I had not seen a peace dollar since I was a kid. I forgot that they even made coins that big. It was funny because I let out a big "woo-hoo" !!! ..and then looked around to see if anyone witnessed the uncontrolled outburst..haha! Kind of wished someone else was there to witness it but it was not to be..

You mean you don't find one everytime you go out? Shucks, I still haven't found one yet in about 4 years of looking. Great Peace Dollar!
