Can you please give me some feedback on a Vaquero

Anything you can tell me would be appreciated. Thank you

Elton. I've never held a V in my hands...

I've read quite a bit about them, as I'm sure you probably have.

Sounds to me like a good swap for you, with Jabbo.

Especially considering what you have on the way...

The V will give you a different option.

hey elton, i have found that metal detector reviews .com helps, i know some people dont like it, but at least the reviews are from actual users, and not corporate munkeys or dealers trying to make that buck. good luck,

El,

I haven't had a V, but I had tha Cibola, which is like a V without the Manual GB.

The Cibola is the smoothest and deepest Tesoro I have used. I have always

planed to get a Vaquero. That may happen if I can get back on my feet from

the holidays.

The Cibola discreminates some small iron naturally. It's not a true ED 180

discreminator as described by Tesoro. It is somewhere between the ED 120

that the Silver uMax and Golden has, and a true ED 180 like the Tejon and Eldorado.

I think the V is one of the best Tesoroes.

HH,

I have been hunting with a vaqero for a couple of years now I relic hunt with It,seems to be a good machine very sensitive to small objects finds buttons good as well as small brass and silver, I hunt from cental v.a. to northeastern n.c. seems to do good in this dirt.

Yes Sir..thats what I was thinking..I have only used a Tiger Shark Tesoro machine..Thank you all for the feedback hmmmmmmmmmmmm "thinking"

The Vaquero is a fantastic all around machine! I have a cibola also and love them both. The v loves nickles and silver also. Like I said it is just a great all around work horse. The deepest I have pulled a silver dime is at about seven inches and I dug one IH penny at about 8 inches. It does very well but you have to make sure you don't bump your ground balance settings while hunting.I bought orings to put on them but just never have. I have owned about ten different machines and the V has been my all around faverite. I need to try a tejon next.

I don't have the Vaquero - I have the Cibola and 4 other Tesoro's.
I understand the Vaquero is the same as the Cibola with the exception of the ground balance.
The Cibola is my first Tesoro. I was going to get the Vaquero but letting my son and friends use it occasionally, the manual ground balance was something they were not ready for. Otherwise the Vaquero would have been my first as i really prefer manual ground balance over preset.
So the Vaquero with the manual ground balance, and all the good post's and reviews, I can't see how one can go wrong on getting a Vaquero.

Which one would be best on small gold nuggets. I haven't been out in many years and I need a new machine. I can't afford a Lobo Super Traq and my wife is itching to go. From reading here it sounds like the Vaquero might be a good nugget machine.
