Can you imagine if minelab made....

I've been wondering, "dangerous territory" me wondering that is. If :minelab:were to manufacture a 10.5 DD and or a 6" DD in 3khz. That would probably be the ultimate coil to run on these X models. I've been poking around for about an hour with the 6" DD and the 10.5 DD this morning in a school yard while my babygirl was playing with her friends. They are an awsome design. I'd have to guess they would be a coil to be reckoned with. Come on :minelab:give us one more coil...............................

and although Minelab has not responded with more coils at 3 kHz (yet), the introduction of two more detector models that are capable of using 3 khz (505 and 705) may help our cause! I've frequently questioned the manner in which Minelab introduced the first three X-Terra models and their respective coil choices. In other words, why did they "tie" the 3 kHz coil to the X-70???? Seems to me that many of the folks who bought the X-70 did so due to the Prospecting mode. As such, many of them benefited from the higher frequency coils and never really considered adding the lower frequency. Those using the X-30 X-50 didn't have the option of using the 3 kHz. As such, there was never really a substantial "target market" for more lower frequency coils. But as I said, with the introduction of the 505 and 705, that has changed.

Anyway, on to the present! I would encourage anyone interested in having more 3 kHz coil choices become available, to contact Minelab. I've done so quite a few times and could use your support!!! I'm not saying that they will build them just because a few of us want them. But I have to think that hearing from more X-Terra users (other than just me) couldn't hurt the cause! JMHO HH Randy

Here are a few posts I've made about the "need" for more 3 kHz coils, dating back as far as August 07.

Is there only the one 3k coil available. I mean I have a HF 10x5 DD and the stock MF CC, so why not the 3k. Then I would have one of each.
