Got a used infinium......sent it to get looked at.......they replaced the mother board......all new seals.....new 10x14 DD coil ...and they had the nerve to not charge me anything (HEE HEE).....now you tell me how can you beat that ......just want thank Brad at Garrett....THANKS !!!

Not the first I heard a story like this and probably not the last. I two had a favorable outcome when I sent my detector back to have them look at it or tune it up. When you talk about a company these days its like say a bad word. I don't think a good friend would do what they do .Maybe a relative would. Anyway the Garrett family produce top of the line detectors . I've been metal detecting with many friends with all kinds of detectors. Garrett beats out all the other models. Your detector is as good as you are. I laugh at all the other brands advertising. Also remember law enforcement agency use Garrett and the airline security uses Garrett. The Olympic Games uses Garrett products. Mr Garrett started out as a hobbyist like us and knows the thrill of finding a things in the ground. They back there product and are trying to keep it affordable. I'm done

NOT TO RAIN ON YOUR PARADE! BUT WHITES HAS AND DOES SAME THING FOR ME ! THUMBS UP TO TWO GOOD COMPANIES AMONG THE FEW OUT THERE

:usaflag:I would say that Garrett, White's, Minelab and Fisher are the top four.

I did a dumb-ass thing a while back. I tried opening my Garrett Pro-pointer to see if any dirt got inside. I ended up breaking it (still kicking myself). Anyways, I sent it in with a letter explaining my dumb-assness. About 10 days later I had a brand new one in my mailbox. I know it had a warranty but they went above and beyond. Good company.

That is great you got such good treatment from Garrett, but there are probably more than a few old hands around yet would say that it took Garrett more than a little while to "wise up". I bought my first detector from Garrett in 69, and another in 78, and you can be sure their product and service back then was far, far from what you speak of. I went to Tesoro over 25 years ago and their excellent and friendly (and mostly always always free)service and "Lifetime Warranty" was in effect from their beginning.Tesoro was the "First and Only" Detector Company to have "Lifetime Warranty" and great/free service for many many years before Any of the others came to do so. That says Plenty about themselves and their product! They are all no doubt taking lessons now from Tesoro. It is Very Good that Garrett is finally opting to do the right thing for their customers, and their company/product. It is a bit sad that it took them so long to "wise up". Not to rain on your parade, but credit is due where it is due, and nuff said.

now if minelabe could do that

Good to hear that Garrett is doin' people good these days! They were my first brand to use (back in the early 70's) and did real well with everything I had except when that dang slide in battery pack's connection went bad (and became tired of having that one problem serviced). Even then......great folks to deal with! I would really like to see Garrett strengthen there hobby division again.

And they keep getting better, and better.

Good products, excellent service, and fantastic people.. It just doesn't get any better than that.

well respected company with quality products, but need to change those god-awful
green and yellow colors for the detectors!..make great pin-pointers too...charlie!..
are you listening?

I hear you JT! One of my digging Buddys has a Pro Pointer already and loves it.I am happy for him! And I also have been reading that some folks are already having problems with their Garrett Pro Pointers.. No problem so long as the breakdown happens while covered by Garret's "GREAT", Full waranty. 2 years isn't it? I have been there with them and done that a couple of times. That was a "Great",,, SOL learning session for me. No Thanks! HH, Charlie

unfortunately the detectors look like someone "puked" on them, but the pin pointer
ironically is "black" and one of the best on the market!

I have to agree with you for sure there too JT. A favorite word nowdays is "disconnect", and that may have some to do with what we see going on with certain folks. Or, as the case with some, they are big enough and been around so long as to not consider being "connected" to folks important. And some, just start out "disconnected" and stay that way. It is really good when we can see some change for the good.. That is simply good business sense.
