Can ya dig it ??

Here's a collection of junk that I have dug from my last 500 coins. This is probably another 2-3 hundred digs. I know it's nice that I have, no doubt, prevented some cut kids by removing these things but they played 2 more important parts to me. I never have used a readout screen so cannot say anything about numbers & all.

1. I was digging and a park guard walked up to see what I was doing. He wasn't too keen on me being there till I showed him the junk digs.
2. The more I dig the "luckier" I get.

Dig it all, steve in so az

like the Michigan State Archeologist. I usually take some trash with me from previous hunts. If I get stopped before I really get started I have some 'nasty' stuff to show. Otherwise one might have an empty pouch coming in and going out (when asked to leave because they don't understand or see evidence of things we remove).

Good point Steve.

After seeing those pics of the holes I dug below, I can dig anything! :)

When I go hunting. I even pick others who don't seem to care  Two years ago. Hunted a school, someone detected before me. I filed in there holes and picked the trash. Made me feel better an now :D:

beer and whiskey bottles. I also collect alum cans and if they're not too dirty, I save them for additional money or give them to those who do! I put plastic bags on my belt that holds my tool bag and etc and use them to put trash in and leave the park, school ground and etc. cleaner than when I started! Takes a little time out of my detecting time, but worth it and less likely to be told to leave! People who don't do likewise cause all of us to have a bad reputation as detectorists!

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, then we'll not be digging the same trash over and over again and more likely to find the coins nulled by the iron and so forth! Blessings come by doing the right thing, whether anyone is looking or not but, remember, God's all-seeing eye is watching all the time!

God Bless!
Betty
