Can Sovereign Gt really be used as a gold machine?

B.K.H.

I am considering buying the sovereign Gt and was told that it can be used as a gold machine as well as a coin. Can it really?

There are a lot of areas where the GT would do well, it has a very good AM mode, and a great Disc mode, will probably do that a little with mine this summer as that is about all I do, however, having said that my main squeeze will be my GP 3500, so probably the use will be in iron rich sites. I have used several VLFs early on that were not designed for gold hunting, one that I liked was my old BH Big Bud Pro with the Tek Mk 1 7.25" coil on..I did pretty well with it...Sometimes a smaller coil will work a lot better with a VLF under nugget hunting conditions so don't be afraid to try anything....HH...Geo

Absolutely.....I know this because I have tried it in highly mineralised Australian dirt. I was unable to use it in DISC as it nulled constantly but then this is really bad ground. In AM, it handled the ground really well and tested buried objects sounded out easily. I know "buried" objects is not the way to go but it does give a good indication of it's ability.

I'm very confident that it will do well for you and in less mineralised ground then you may be able to run in DISC.
